RIP.5/13/2021 I rather liked this story about the footballer Frank Worthington from the Times obituary pages . As they say I read the obits every morning and if I'm not in them I get up. Frank, enjoyed a playboy lifestyle but still managed a 26-year career on the pitch starting in Huddersfield Town in 1966 and ending in Halifax Town in 1992. He told the story of a goal he scored against Liverpool. In front of the Kop he nutmegged the defender Tommy Smith before banging the ball into the net.

Frank turned to the referee and said; “Did you hear that?” The referee replied;” Yes I did Frank, but I don’t think he was talking to me.” Frank died in March. He was 72.
