​Do you remember when Prince Harry and Meghan sat down with Oprah and explained to a global audience why they had done deals with Netflix and Spotify.

Harry explained; “My family literally cut me off financially.” That seemed to make sense although he was living in 14-bathroomed house and had picked up £30million from his mum’s will so he wasn’t on his uppers.

Now we know from his dad that he was telling whoppers.

Prince Charles has opened up his accounts- as he has done for the last 15 years- to show how the taxpayers’ money and the cash he generates is being spent. In an analysis of the numbers it is clear he paid somewhere between £1-2million to Harry as he set off for his new life.

​At a briefing at Clarence House a spokesman said; “The Prince of Wales allocated a substantial sum to support them with the transition. The funding ceased in the summer of last year. The couple are now financially independent.”

Isn’t it incredible that Harry could not have said; “I want to thank my Dad for giving £1million or to ease my way in the world.”

But no. he and his pain-in-the-arse wife are so self-involved they cannot be act correctly even when their family have been so generous.

I want them to make a success of their new life and marriage but could do without the lies.
