This story, first broken by the Mail on Sunday is hard to believe. In a bulletin sent after prince Philip’s death last month Joleen Clarke, associate director at the university’s libraries emailed a photo of him opening its Maugham Library with the Queen in 2002. In the email Clarke wrote; “As the nation marks the death of HRH Prince Philip we thought you would like to see this photo which some colleagues will remember.” Click Here: Dean Beaumont, from Felixstowe, saved £585 by switching his energy supplier | Find out how much you could save Then the lefties and wokies employed at the university joined in. They criticised the sending of the Philip photo because of his “history of racist and sexist comments.” This then the led to a Clarke having to face a “kangaroo court” by colleagues where she is said to have had to account for herself. After the “court” hearing had to issue the following email to colleagues; “The picture was included as a historical reference point following his death….the inclusion of the picture was intended to commemorate him.
“Through feedback and subsequent conversations, we have come to realise the harm that this has caused members of our community, because of his history or racist and sexist comments.” Click Here: Michael Woodward, from Durham, saved nearly £1000 in 2 years on his previous energy bills | Get cheap energy quotes now Who are the colleagues? They should have the courage of their beliefs and issue emails to be made public. Why should Clarke face this humiliation alone for the innocent act of issuing a picture on a man’s death. In literally 74 years of marriage he appeared to say two things- one “slitty-eyes reference to the Chinese- and stating “British women can’t cook”. Big deal. Easy for me to say I would have told the “colleagues” to get stuffed and see how that would have played out. She would have received a fortune at an employment tribunal if the idiot university chiefs had sacked her. I feel so sorry for Ms Clarke.
