In order for Prince Harry to feel better it seems he has to make his dad and the rest of the family feel worse.
Is it really in anybody’s interest-except possibly his bank manager-for him to carry out his therapy in public?
In his intimate interview with the US presenter Oprah Winfrey he told how he used drink and drugs to mask the pain of his mother’s death, how he attempted to seek help from Prince Charles when he and his wife felt trapped and how Meghan had contemplated suicide.

All big issues. But why share them? Oprah defended his right to court publicity while demanding privacy.
She said that everybody is entitled to a life free from the intrusion of privacy by press photographers. What she is saying-and she is being paid millions to do this series on mental health by Apple+- is that if you are a celebrity you can pick and choose what kind of privacy you require. If you need the money and the relevancy you can break it but keep to yourself if you fancy a quiet night in. Not sure the fame game works like that.
Not do I believe the believe the majority of the public buy this argument. And having got over the shock that Harry could accuse his own family of racism I think it’s only a matter of time before the ordinary man or woman becomes bored by these revelations.
His standing in the UK will not be helped ( and he probably no longer cares) by saying things like; “I felt helpless. I thought my family would help. But every single ask, request, warning whatever it is, just got met with total silence or total neglect.”

It’s clear Harry was a lot sicker than anybody had taken on board and I am pleased he has found someone to love in Meghan and somewhere like America where he can thrive but I would be grateful if he stopped calling up a US network every time he felt compelled to talk about the bad old days.
Apple+ is a streaming service. My bet is that Harry will lose more customers than he gains. Only when he has his own show on C5 will he get the message; We are no longer interested.
