I am a fan of Jeremy Vine. I am a fan of his work ethic both doing a C5 show and then dashing across town to do his daily and rather good BBC Radio 2 show. He asked a guest whether she thought it was a “problem” that all 30 attendees would be white at the Windsor Castle service tomorrow. Why on earth would he ask that question? Did it come from him or was it relayed to his ear by some woke producer? Due to covid the numbers of mourners are restricted to 30 and surprise surprise the Royal family are all white. Just like Jeremy Vine’s family. And just like mine.  The stats would indicate that most families in this country are white. The numbers are 86% white, 14% of colour.

He reckoned it was 40%. Hard to believe that this is making sense for commercial companies but marketing directors ( their average tenure is three years) don’t want to be on the wrong side of the woke argument when they are moved on just in case that bars them from their next overpaid job.
