As I am still bloody angry at the fact that the Batley teacher has fled his home because a Muslim mob didn’t like him showing a cartoon of the Prophet Mohammad to his class, my eye was drawn to a speech by the Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan. In a televised address last night he said that Muslim countries (apparently there are 50 of them) should launch a trade boycott of any country that “insults” the Prophet. CLICK HERE: Save ££££ on your bills with A Spokesman Said| Compare & Save Now He made the speech under pressure from a radical religious group the TLP who want the French Ambassador kicked out because France does not accept that the cartoons of the Prophet are blasphemous. He said;” We need to explain why this hurts us when in the name of freedom of speech they insult the honour of the Prophet.” I accept religion is important but it does not trump the right to criticise it. How does Khan feel about the Batley teacher being forced into hiding in the name of his religion?
It is quite shocking that a teacher, apparently a good Yorkshire lad, married with four children, is the subject of some inquiry by the school that suspended him and won’t report back until the end of May. But the real culprits are the muslim mob that met outside the school gates. They would be right at home in Pakistan. Had they thought of going there? Permanently.
