Why did magistrate spare jail for BLM thug who took a flying kick at PC?

​The thuggish Jonathan Daley was perfectly entitled to join the massive Black Lives Matter demonstration in Whitehall sparked by the death of George Floyd in the June of last year.

During the demo Daley, 27, ran up behind an officer and attempted to kick in the back. He missed.

Being stupid he decided to have another go. He hid behind some railings looking to launch another ambush. All this was seen on CCTV.

Minutes later, Daley lunges from his hiding place and took a flying kick at an officer, striking him in the upper thigh.

The officer fell to the ground injured. Daley, as with all cowards, ran away.

Later he is seen on social media video cheering and celebrating the attack with the crowd.

​Det constable Steve Nicholls said after the case vat the Inner London Crown Court; “It is sickening to see someone treat a police officer with such thuggish behaviour..

“Despite being outnumbered those officers were trying to help a Tv film crew who were being subjected to scenes of violence and hostility.”

​Unbelievably Daley was sentenced to 20 months in prison suspended for two years and ordered to pay a £200 victim surcharge and undertake 100 hours of unpaid work.

He has such little regard for the law that a warrant had to be issued against him by Westminster magistrates in January because he didn’t turn up.

Daley is a nasty piece of work. A coward and a thug. He should have got 20 months in jail. It should not have been suspended.
