Why has this abuser not been deported to Pakistan?

The name Abdul Rauf won’t mean anything to you. It does however strike fear into the hearts of every young girl in Rochdale.

Back in 2012 Rauf was convicted of abusing and trafficking girls in the Lancashire town and received a six year sentence and ordered to be deported to Pakistan.

He had both a British and Pakistan passport. And since his release his lawyers, presumably on legal aid, have been fighting to keep him here. Once again I presume he’s on Universal Credit.
The story came out earlier this weeks thanks to some good work by The Sun who told of Rauf, a father of five, being seen buying food and drinks in the town.

​One victim told of her horror at the prospect of bumping into him. After all he had raped her. This put Home Secretary Priti Patel under pressure.

She talks a good game but as of yet there is nothing on the statue book allowing us to kick out the scum once their sentence has ended.

Its not entirely her fault .One of Rauf’s scum co-accused renounced their Pakistani citizenship during the trial. As Priti says privately; “They are good at playing the game.”
