PC GONE MAD: Man was denied entry to police for not being ethnic minority

An outstanding young man whose father is a police officer was turned down by the force for not being an ethnic minority, disabled or gay.

This is despite there being a rampant violent crime epidemic across the country and a severe shortage of police officers. Surely we need all the help we can get?!

An employment tribunal found Cheshire Constabulary discriminated against Matthew Furlong, 25, on the grounds of sexual orientation, race and sex.

He will now be joining the police as a student officer.

You can't mess around with law and order - the idea that his country could be deprived of a capable police officer simply because he doesn't tick the diversity quota is madness.
