And how has he reacted? With complete silence. That is not a strategy which will work with the British people. Andrew is not some elderly rock star who can simply shrug off the accusation and head off to his hideaway in the Caribbean. Andrew is a flawed but central character in the British establishment. The public enjoy the Royal family, particularly the Queen. They want them to be squeaky clean. This allegation, which will take a couple of years before arriving in court, is far too damaging to remain unanswered. Charles has got his PR people to tell The Times that he sees no way back into public life for Andrew. A Charles aide is quoted as saying; “His ability to feel and support for those having a tough time is well known. “However this (the case) will be unwelcome reputational damage to the institution. He has long ago concluded that it is an unsolvable problem. This will probably strengthen in the prince’s mind that a way back for the duke is demonstrably not possible because the spectre of this accusation raises its head with hideous regularity.” Click Here: Jean Burnley saved £174 on her home insurance | Get your cheapest home insurance quote now CLICK HERE: You could save up to £497 on your energy bills | GET AN ENERGY QUOTE NOW
Andrew is currently in Balmoral with The Queen and his ex-wife Sarah. Sarah was allowed back into the royal fold now that Prince Philip is dead. He couldn’t stand her. Apparently Andrew is keeping in touch with the London law firm which raises another question. How can he afford the legal fees involved? An expert on royal finances has told The Times that he simply hasn’t got that kind of money which is why he may have been hanging about with Jeffrey Epstein in the first place. It is time Andrew broke his silence. Every minute that passes is another minute that the nation will be inclined to believe he has something to hide. He must come out with a very public and provable denial that he ever met Giuffre when she was just 17, a minor under US law. If he can’t do that the court of public opinion will find him guilty. The first issue facing Sir Keir Starmer and his chum is that it is their policy in the first place. They introduced it back in 2007 when they were in power. The second issue is that under the scheme last year the United Kingdom kicked out 5,203 foreign criminals. Jamaica represented just 1% of that number. So there isn’t any racism. Our country doesn’t care what colour you are but if you don’t hold a UK passport and commit a crime for which you are handed a sentence of 12 months or more then you are going “home.” Finally the Labour front bench can’t make up their mind whether they are Arthur or Martha on this issue. Shadow Immigration minister Bambos Charalambous told The Times; “Clearly violent and dangerous offenders who have forfeited their right to remain in the UK should be removed.” He doesn’t include in that cohort the Jamaicans who were to be booted out for peddling Class A drugs, cocaine and the like. I do believe these men (they all seem to be men) are dangerous and if they want to make money out of drugs let them do it in Kingston, Jamaica and not on the streets of Brixton. I was hopeful to wish a fond farewell to a deportation flight from Birmingham Airport containing 50 Jamaican criminals but it was not to be. Last-minute appeals meant the Home Office was forced to remove a majority of them from the flight but I’m sure we will finally get rid of the vermin. I disliked intensely the way he tried to cover up is his wealthy, upper middle class background. The situation he was born into was not his fault. Don’t wallow in it but don’t try and pretend with a father who was a stockbroker and Chairman of the exclusive St James’s club Whites that you were born in a hole in the road. His judgment was hopeless as proved by the Brexit vote. He had no idea how ordinary people felt. Now, thanks to good work by the team at Panorama we learn that he pocketed £7.2million from the factoring business Greenshill Capital for just over two years work as the company imploded with debts running into billions. Once again his judgment was tested and found wanting. The Serious Fraud Office is still investigating. Surely alarm bells rang when Cameron saw the deal he was being offered. Around £700,000 a year for 25 days work and £3.2million in shares to be cashed at any time. He was just a fig leaf. Probably had no idea, or any interest, in what the company was up to. His reputation is in tatters. Let this be a warning to Boris who told Dominic Cummings that he would quit 18 months after winning another General Election so that he could “have some fun and make money.” There are a lot of Lex Greenshills roaming around the City looking for mugs like a Cameron. This is her argument. “It is true they have all broken the law. But most have been convicted for non-violent drug offences and four got deportation orders for their first and only drug offences. “The deportation is by way of being a double jeopardy. “It is an arbitrary sentence that the British is able to impose because the deportees are not white. So there we have it. A former Home Secretary would fight to keep these collection of criminals in our country. She is quite wrong. It has nothing to do their colour. If there were 50 convicted New Zealanders they would be put on a plane back to Auckland when their sentences were completed. None of the 50 being kicked out are British citizens but some have lived here since childhood. Another Labour MP Bell Ribeiro-Addy claimed deportation is discriminatory and double punishment for “people who committed minor offences.” Murder a minor offence? Child rape a minor offence? Selling drugs a minor offence? Jamaica has a high crime rate. I imagine the country will welcome the flight with open arms. The article said that Matt Weissler, a graphic artist, was to receive £750,000 (yes £750K) from the BBC for being blacklisted by the corporation for revealing how Martin Bashir got the Princess Diana interview. I don’t know about you but I think £750,000 is a hell of a lot of money and more importantly it is OUR money. The BBC haven’t got any money, it all comes from the £159 licence fee and if we don’t pay we got to jail. Ridiculous in this world but neither political party want to change it. Although it’s 25 years ago now the facts are clear. Martin Bashir, a ho hum reporter on the Panorama programme, began to woo Diana’s brother. Earl Spencer, so that he could land the interview. What he did was certainly fraudulent and possibly criminal. He got Mr Weissler to put together bank statements showing that journalists were paying Spencer employees to supply information about Diana. The object was to show a) that Bashir was on the side of Spencer and Diana and b) that he could be trusted if Spencer put in a good word for him with Diana about a possible interview. It worked. Bashir got the interview and Diana came up with the phrase; “There were three of this in this this marriage”- a reference to Camilla. The BBC found out about the faked bank statements and instead of sacking Bashir, instead of disciplining Steve Hewlett the Panorama editor, they told Weissler than he would never work for them again and effectively banished him from building. For decades Mr Weissler has fought for justice and now he has received it in the shape of £750,000 compensation. But why should we pay? Shouldn’t the money come out of Bashir’s pocket after all he was instigator of the crime. He has an expensive house with plenty of equity in it. I don’t want to pay and I suspect neither do you. The good news from the same study is that one cup of coffee daily is associated with lowering the risk of liver cancer. The effects are observed regardless of whether its caffeinated or decaffeinated. Alcohol increases the risk of cancer when it is metabolised, it breaks down into chemicals than can bind to DNA, resulting in mutations which could become cancerous. I believe that these nasty, often violent, young men (they are mainly men) aren’t pilloried enough for their actions. Now local papers have basically gone bust they don’t even have the ignominy of their families seeing their name in print. They laugh at us and laugh at the law. But there is another view and the man advocating hiring not humiliating is worth listening to. He is James Timpson, the boss of the high street shoe repair and locksmithing firm Timpson. It’s a very successful business with a turnover last year of £209million. CLICK HERE: Alwyn Williams saved £342 on his car insurance | GET A QUOTE NOW He says hiring ex-offenders makes good business sense because “the people we recruit from jails are so bloody good.” Since 2008 when he opened a shoe repair shop in HMP Liverpool (you will be pleased to learn key cutting skills were not practised then) his company has employed 1,500 ex-prisoners. Just four have returned to jail. Many of those who turned their backs on crime-including some with drugs and alcohol issues-have progressed to senior roles in the company, including a current board member. A tweet from James explaining the alternative to the Boris plan hi-viz got 130,000 likes and 23,500 likes.

Lorry drivers are in such short supply that agency drivers who were making £350 a day in January now want between £800 and £1,000 a day. I have always thought that driving those 16-wheelers is a tough job. Sleeping in your cab in the middle of Hungary is not my idea of fun so good luck to them shaking down the bosses who I presume have spent the last 18 months WFYH. Eventually their wage rise will wash up in our supermarket bill. In fact Aldi say they have been forced to increase wages for their lorry drivers to keep their shelves stocked. The problem was exacerbated by two things. 1) Brexit deterred EU drivers from working in Britain. 2) The “pingdemic” has added to the strain. Dairy giant Arla, which supplies all the leading supermarkets, said that it was cancelling 600 deliveries a week because of the driver shortages. Tesco is offering HGV drivers a £1,000 bonus to sign on. I love hearing these stories. The truckers are the unsung heroes of capitalism. They should be paid top dollar. I have no idea why she is living in a West London council house. I have no idea why the NHS fitted her with a prosthetic arm. I think you will share my concerns at her being given priority treatment when you know her story. Hussein, who is now 27, was raised and grew up in London. When 18 she moved to Nairobi to live with her stepfather and take up university studies. She started watching ISIS videos and claimed she was groomed online by ISIS chiefs. She left Kenya and headed to Syria via Turkey. There she met and married an ISIS fighter. CLICK HERE: Paula Keeting, a retired nurse from Bournemouth, saved over £500 on her family’s car insurance | GET YOUR CHEAPEST CAR INSURANCE QUOTE NOW They moved to the Syrian town of Raqqa and Hussein was seriously injured by a coalition airstrike (her home was next to an ISIS weapons store) and spent seven months in hospital. She then began repositioning herself as a victim. First of all she claimed her mind had been taken over by ISIS and said she didn’t see the evil. An Interesting response since global news channels told of the Yazidi women being taken in their thousand as sex slaves not to mention the British executioners beheading five Western hostages on camera. She did let her PR drop when she claimed the Manchester Arena bombing which left 22 -mainly children- dead describing them as “victims of war.”
Eighteen months ago she was allowed to fly back to Britain. She was arrested at Heathrow airport under anti-terrorism laws but was released soon after and today she is free to wander the street. No tag. Nothing. Police say she remains “under investigation”. Hussein is living in a £500,000 council house in West London with her family. How is it that a woman who has spent five years with ISIS is allowed to fly back to a warm home, a welcoming family, a subsidised rent and a free NHS treatment. I have now doubt she will be on Universal Credit. Hussein wanted us to fall under the ISIS yoke and it was only because they were beaten in Syria that didn’t happen. We are a nation of fools to think Hussein and her sort have changed the way they think. They will simply be lying low, taking all the subsidies we can offer, until they can spring back into life. My house is immaculate thanks to the Poles who clean it. My plumbing works thanks to a Pole who is always available. And my breakfast room extension looks great thanks to the Pole who painted it. So it came as no surprise to me a fascinating piece by Emma Duncan, the British editor of The Economist, shows that incredible as it may seem Poland may be more prosperous than the United Kingdom by 2030. As she admits that calculation uses growth rates in the two countries from 2014-2019 when Poland grew at 4.4% a year while we were at 1% per year. Those numbers may not continue but with productivity in the UK bloody awful - and I am thinking about the bosses even more than the workforce- I am not hopeful about our future wealth. The Poles came here in their hundreds and thousands in 2004 and took jobs that we did not have skills for or more likely weren’t prepared to do for the money. Thinking of plumbing and other building work more specifically. As Poland has become wealthier a number of the Poles have started going back. That is a shame and that is also a problem. Where is our skilled labour to come from? And are we educating our children well enough to do the jobs for the future? In the latest Pisa global education ranking Poland beat Britain and America coming 10th in reading and maths and 12th in science. I feel a little gloomy right now. We spend too much time talking about work life balance and too little about working bloody hard to make our lives in old age more secure. Learn from the Poles or face a difficult time ahead. Before him at Worcester Crown Court was Chloe Kendrick, aged 28, who admitted grievous bodily harm by stabbing her ex. The boyfriend, Daniel Wint, had gone round to her flat to drop off some of her belongings now they were no longer together. In a drunken rage she grabbed a 6inch kitchen knife and plunged into his stomach while screaming; “Now you know how I feel.” Mt Wint had a 2inch stab wound and lost four-and-a-half litres of blood in the attack. Imagine if the attack had been the other way round. What would have been the sentence? Anywhere between 2-3 years I would have thought. Instead Kendrick was handed a 20-month sentence suspended for just six months and given an 8pm to 7am curfew. This is what Judge Burbidge said on sentencing; “Do you present as a danger to the public? “I think if you again entered a personal relationship you will present a danger to that individual. “You run a risk of taking your own life and a risk, if you were incarcerated of carrying such a threat out.” Does anybody seriously worry about Kendrick? Certainly not me. It is only by the grace of God that she did not kill Mr Dint. After the case Kendrick was photographed carrying cans of lager before going on to celebrate. Full of remorse? No but full of beer. Should people like Judge Burbidge be allowed to sit on the bench when they sentencing mistakes like this. I think not. Last night Rooney apologised to his family after photos emerged of the Derby County manager partying and falling asleep in a budget hotel bedroom with young scantily clad women. After winning a friendly football match against a Spanish side unusually he sought out Sky Sports News and told ; “I made a mistake. I went to a private party with two of my friends.” Actually it was a Manchester night club while the missus was away in North Wales with the kids. He went on; “I’d like to apologise to my family and the club for the images which were going round and I want to move forward on this (I’m sure he does). I’m grateful to Derby County for giving me this opportunity to get this club back where it belongs”. One source close to Derby said; “How can he lead a group of young men when he cannot appear to control himself in public during a night out.” My bet is that Derby can’t wait to dump him and it will only take a maximum of two poor results at the beginning of the season - they play Huddersfield on August 7 and Peterborough on the 14th - for him to be on his way. Then he will be home full time with the missus. Bet she can’t wait for that. Anyway the effect has been the volunteers are starting to be abused by members of the public. This is unacceptable. The chief executive of the RNLI said the police had to be called to their HQ at Waterloo last week when a crew was “verbally assaulted” while reporting for duty. The CEO, Mark Dowie, said half of all callouts for the nine RNLI stations along the coast between Eastbourne and Margate were to rescue migrant boats, a significant increase on two years ago. The RNLI says its job is to “save lives at sea…..without judgment on how they came to be in the water.” We need Priti Patel, our Home Secretary, to solve the problem. Anytime they don’t conform with the agenda you are accused of being racist. Being white and, ahem, older, that is a given as far as the Left are concerned and a decent chunk of the activist black community. So what am I to make of the latest research from the Office of National Statistics which shows Britons from ethnic minorities live longer than white people and are less likely to die from cancer. Astonishing stuff. The Sun, which was always considered a working class paper and news website, solved the issue of the hot potato and simply didn’t report it. That was poor as the research was not carried out by some nutter organisation but the ONS which describes itself as “the executive office of the UK Statistics Authority which reports directly to Parliament.” It doesn’t matter if you are black Caribbean, black African, Indian, Pakistani or Bangladeshi male or female you will live longer than your white counterpart. Life expectancy for white Britons was 83.1 years for women and 79.7 years for men compared with 88.9 years for black African women and 83.8 for men. White Britons were also more likely than any other to die of cancer. Cancer mortality was lowest among the Indians, Pakistanis and Bangladeshis. However the South Asian and black ethnic groups had significantly higher death rates from diabetes, heart attacks and strokes. Of course there will be cynics and jokers among you who start shouting black privilege and want an investigation into why whites are dying so much earlier than other communities. Is it their diet? Do they face more stress? Is it their housing? After all if the results had been the other way round the storm would have been enormous. Veena Raleigh, an epidemiologist senior fellow at the King’s Fund, a healthcare think tank, got it right when she said the findings “may come as a surprise to many”. Another expert said the results were in line with previous studies. So there we are. We should be trying to raise the health bar for the white community. Would The Sun report that? It certainly must be the reason that Earl Spencer, who if I remember correctly made the most inappropriate attack on Prince Charles at the Diana funeral, decided to stay on the Althorp estate rather than going to Frascati in Italy for the big day. Lewis’s three adult children from a previous marriage were there. Instead of being walked down the aisle by her dad it was her brothers Viscount Althorp and Samuel Aitken who did the decent thing. Not every father approves of their children’s choice in love but to be honest it is them who have to live with their choice and not you. Earl Spencer should have gone and put aside whatever family squabbles caused the problem. He has had a lot of luck in life-being a member of the lucky sperm club was the first one - and he should have extended the hand of love to his daughter. It doesn’t say much for him.
